This painting reflects how rooms gradually form around the people who use them. Curved, overlapping shapes trace the paths of movement, while softer blocks of colour suggest furniture, corners and thresholds that have shifted over time. Rather than a fixed plan, the space feels grown into, echoing Jane Jacobs' idea of cities as living, responsive systems. Lived Space hints at an interior that has been rearranged, worn and adjusted by daily habits, until structure and occupancy become inseparable.
